It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 41st International Congress of the Hellenic Society of Intraocular Implant and Refractive Surgery, taking place this year on March 4–6, 2027, at the familiar venue of the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre.
Our established annual gathering returns, bringing together senior ophthalmic surgeons and trainees, as well as all our valued partners—optometrists, nurses, and representatives from the medical/pharmaceutical industry and the technology sector.
This year’s program features distinguished ophthalmologists from around the world, including Lamis Baydoun, Laura de Benito-Llopis, Sorcha Ni Dhubhghaill, Farhad Hafezi, Ruth Lapid-Gortzak, Hatch Mukherjee and Alfonso Vasquez-Perez. A highlight of the congress will be the presence of Prof. Burkhard Dick, who will be honored with the 2027 Kelman Award.
The event will focus on the latest scientific and technological advancements in the fields of cataract, corneal and refractive surgery. The program will feature free paper presentations, video screenings, e-posters, clinical courses and round-table discussions.
A major highlight of the event remains the largest exhibition in Greece showcasing ophthalmic surgical and diagnostic equipment, instruments and pharmaceutical products.
